From Complexity to Clarity
What They Asked For
The Cape Cod Compact is a regional energy services organization that offers programs and incentives to help residents and businesses conserve energy and lower their costs. The Compact serves a diverse audience across Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard — from homeowners and renters to local business owners — each with unique energy efficiency needs.
Tomo360 partnered with Cape Cod Compact to design and develop a custom WordPress website that delivers a clean, modern, and accessible user experience. The goal was to make the Compact’s many programs easy to navigate and to connect visitors quickly with the resources most relevant to them.
What We Did
The new website was designed with clarity, accessibility, and personalization at its core. Tomo360 focused on creating a user journey that reflects the Compact’s mission of making energy efficiency approachable and straightforward for everyone.
We introduced a persona-based navigation system that allows visitors to identify themselves as homeowners, renters, or business owners. Once a visitor selects their role, the website dynamically filters and presents programs, rebates, and incentives tailored to that audience segment. This approach ensures that each visitor can quickly and easily find relevant information — without having to navigate through unnecessary pages.
-
Persona-Based Navigation:
Visitors can choose “I’m a homeowner,” “I’m a renter,” or “I’m a business owner,” which guides them to the most relevant programs, incentives, and resources. -
Custom Eligibility Quiz:
A user-friendly quiz enables visitors to determine their eligibility for rebates and incentives based on their location, household size, and income range, thereby improving engagement and conversion rates. - See What I May Qualify For:
A standout feature is the “ tool. When visitors click this option, they’re guided through a short, interactive form that uses their location and household details to display only the programs and rebates available to them. This ensures each user receives customized, relevant results; no searching or guesswork required. -
Role-Specific Program Listings:
Programs and incentives are automatically filtered by visitor type. For example, selecting the residential category reveals energy efficiency programs designed specifically for homeowners and renters. -
ADA-Compliant Design:
The website meets the highest WCAG accessibility standards, ensuring that all users, including those with disabilities, can easily access and interact with content. -
Multilingual Support:
Built-in language translation functionality allows the Compact to reach a broader audience and serve the diverse communities within its region.
Results
The final result is a streamlined, intuitive, and user-friendly website that empowers visitors to find the programs, rebates, and incentives that best fit their needs. With its modern design, improved accessibility, and personalized navigation, the new site enhances user engagement and reflects the Cape Cod Compact’s commitment to helping the community save energy and reduce costs.
