Facebook for Business recently came out with a new feature to help businesses generate more leads. This magical new feature, named a Call To Action button, is customizable and easy to set up and provides a lot of options for your business. Unfortunately, many business owners do not even know it exists.

Facebook does a good job notifying owners that a call to action button has been created with a standard “Contact” or “Call Now”; however, there are so many more Facebook call-to-action button options available (11 total to be exact), including “learn more”, “shop now” and others.


How to Add a Facebook Call To Action Button

To add this CTA button to your business Facebook page, visit your Facebook Business Page and look on your cover photo for an “Add a Button” button!

You may have another CTA button already in place, but it may not be the best for your business. By clicking on the “Add a Button” option, the “Create A Call To Action Button” Screen Pops Up – where so many possibilities await!

The drop-down gives you the following options:

  1. Contact Us
  2. Book Now
  3. Call Now
  4. Send Message
  5. Use App
  6. Play Game
  7. Shop Now
  8. Sign Up
  9. Watch Video
  10. Send Email
  11. Learn More

Depending on which button you choose, you’re able to edit the way your customers reach you.

  • If you’re looking to boost your e-commerce site, utilize the “Shop Now” button with a link to your e-commerce website.
  • If you’re looking to inform people about your company, products, etc. utilize the contact us, learn more or send message buttons.
  • If you want to promote a video, app, or game, try those CTA buttons.
  • If you’re seeking direct client communication, the call now button or send email option may suit you best.

Once you select your button, you can add your website or phone number and click “save changes.” Facebook gives you the option to “promote your button”, which essentially means put paid advertising towards it. If you feel this is something you’d like to do, you can, but it’s not required. You can hit “not now” and view your new CTA button!

Simply test your button by clicking on it and choosing “Test Button” from the drop-down. (This is always a good idea just to double-check to see if it works properly).
