You would assume that all of your Facebook friends, employees, contacts, etc. like your business page – but you’d be surprised how many actually do not. You can easily invite your Facebook friends and email contacts to like the page in a click of a button!

If you click on the 3 dots next to the message button, this drop down will appear:

Inviting Friends

When you click on “Invite Friends,” a popup screen will appear listing all of your Facebook friends on your personal account, with their current “status.” Some may already like your page, some may not, or they’ve already been invited.  You can select which friends you’d like to invite to like the business page, by simply pressing “Invite” next to their name.

 

Your friends will receive a notification that directs them to like the Business Page, and their status will change from “Invite” to “Invite Sent”

When your friends like the page, your likes increase, but you also gain more visibility to new leads. Because your friend recently liked the Business Page, it will appear in their friends newsfeeds and recent activity. If their friends, who you may not have connection to, see this, they may become curious and like the page too! It’s a never ending networking cycle that business owners should take advantage of!

 

Inviting Email Contacts

When you click on “Invite Email Contacts” this pop up appears:

 

Depending on which email service your business uses, you simply invite them by following the steps, or you can create a contact list and upload it to Facebook. You can then select which contacts or groups you’d like to invite, preview the invitation that will be sent, and click send!

Most business owners have a client list already that can be exported into Facebook, but if your list is excessive, make sure to upload in batches or create a new list for strictly social media. Facebook notes that “you can upload contacts up to 5 times for a maximum of 7,000 contacts per day per Page. You can upload a maximum of 5,000 contacts at a time,” so keep this in mind.

With these two features, your likes should be increasing in no time!
