Susu Wong is Committed to Educating Local Business Owners About Marketing Strategies that Work
Susu Wong, the Principal of the Lowell digital marketing agency Tomo360, is committed to sharing her expertise in order to help businesses grow. She is also a founding member of the Women Accelerators in Lowell, an organization that works toward the advancement of women by providing them with networking, mentoring, and educational workshops.
As you can imagine, she has a busy speaking schedule. She usually presents at least once a month and sometimes more. Susu’s core expertise is in digital marketing. Her presentation topics are versatile and aim to help business owners in various industries improve their websites, social media, strategy, marketing planning, and branding.
Back in early March when the pandemic was driving everyone into quarantine, her team wondered what would happen to the speaking schedule. “I was a little concerned,” said Alison Coye, Marketing Specialist, “In February and March we didn’t have a new presentation to work on or promote. Events everywhere were getting canceled.”
Susu knew that many companies were suffering. “I was hearing businesses in the community talking about the pain of having to close their businesses. No one was talking about pivoting back then, everything was just closed and we didn’t know what would happen next. I know that digital marketing is the way to build a direct-to-customer relationship, and I wanted to help everyone!”
In March, The City of Lowell tapped Tomo360 to create a webinar series that would help Lowell restaurants. Susu created a two-part presentation on “Creative Marketing Strategies” for restaurant owners in Lowell. The goal of the webinar series was to help restaurants during COVID-19 through the use of digital marketing tools, such as improving your website and social media presence.
In May, businesses started to look forward to reopening as the strict quarantine measures began to ease. Susu was already researching the idea of pivoting products and services so they better suit the new normal. She started to present “A Fresh Start,” an educational presentation that helps businesses focus on their customer’s needs and best practices for communicating with customers during the reopening phases.
Susu presented “A Fresh Start” to the Massachusetts LGBTQ Chamber, the UMASS Lowell Innovation HUB (iHUB), the Enterprise Center at Salem State — all in June. She presented for the Center For Women & Enterprise and the Chamber of Lexington in July. Visit our Events page for upcoming webinars in August and beyond!
